Energy Justice: Community Solar Power in Philadelphia
Human Rights Coalition (HRC) builds power for communities most harmed by pollution, poverty, and incarceration. Through our Philadelphia Community Solar Power Project, we organize for clean, community-owned energy—so West Philadelphia families ( including justice-impacted ones) can lower bills, protect health, and move toward real energy self-sufficiency.
Grant Spotlight: EPA Thriving Communities Support
HRC secured roughly $250,000 to launch the first phase of our Philadelphia Community Solar Power Project—public education, town halls, and workforce pathways designed to reach West Philadelphia at scale. Our original program plan targets 100,000+ West Philadelphians through outreach, workshops, and community-focused media.
